The Lightning Cave is an intimate, multi-purpose studio located in the historical dockland area of Liverpool. Comprised of an acoustically treated Live room & Control room. We can accommodate most setups, from solo tracking to large bands. We typically track directly to our gorgeous Otari MX50 Tape Machine, but we have mastering grade Analog to Digital conversion for those who require it.
At the heart of the studio is a 40 Channel Crest Audio Century VX - 40 beautiful Analog channels paired with numerous pieces of outboard gear. We have an extensive selection of vintage and contemporary microphones in our locker, and a wide range of backline to be explored. All of which can be listened to with mastering grade monitoring.
The ethos of The Lightning Cave is simple: capturing great audio doesn’t have to be difficult or uncomfortable. It should be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
